posted 18th Aug
ok so i picked out the nuk bottles for my baby and i keep reading about this BPA and now its kinda making me paranoid...but the nuk bottles are orthodonic approved which is kinda nice since i have a bad over bite due to bottles or sucking my thumb or somethign like that.....but i dont want my son getting extra estrogen so does anyone recommend any bottles cause i dont know now....and i just read another post about someone getting a sanitizer but reading everyones comments i will just boil the bottles....oh and i really dont like dropins

I'm not sure how it works where you live but I know in Canada the stores have all taken the BPA bottles/soothers off the shelves and can't sell them. Check the bottom of the bottle if it says 7 or "other" then it could have BPA.

Hah, i stressed over what bottels to buy before i had Noah.
We bought 1 think like 4 different types, some expensive one's too.
And the only one's he wants to drink out of are the cheap wal-mart ones.

The drop-ins were a pain in the ass to me. I know I should probably keep up with that sort of thing, but it seems like they change what is bad or safe every year. My daughter used bottles from the dollar store and she is perfectly fine 5 years later.

I am worried about that now too, I love the Dr Browns bottles they are the BEST, my 2nd daughter had acid reflux and they helped her soo much it was like night and day once she started taking them. I know they come in BPA free and I have seen at Babies R Us that they are discontinuing the others that have the BPA from online orders???

I breast fed too and I tried playtex and avent bottles too before going to the Dr Browns and my baby never was confused also she got a pacifer right away. I always gave formula at night b/c when I was breastfeeding they were up every hour to eat at night and I just couldn't function during the day and I would put all differant kinds of bottles on your registry that will save you from buying them and baby might be picky plus you will probably have a favorite. Someone else said the drop ins were a pain and I AGREE 200% they were never worth it for me, plus to warm them I had to run them under hot water which took forever!!

I would try them all you learn from experience, I thought the avent leaked alot but I know many people that love them. Bottles are so expensive esp when you are just trying to see which ones will work and if other people are willing to buy them your better off!! Oh I loved the avent bottle warmer!
