AF is OVERDUE!

Alright, so I had a D&C done on June 25th and a follow up appointment with my doctor two weeks later on July 8th. He told me everything was great and that I was physically ready to start again whenever I was emotionally ready. My husband and I decided to immediately start trying again and my doctor told me that I could expect AF between 4-6 weeks. Tomorrow will be 6 weeks and still no signs of AF. I took a pregnancy test a little over two weeks ago and it was BFN. I am hoping that it was just too early. Do you think it's possible? I hate to get my hopes up, but cross your fingers ladies. I'm taking another test tomorrow, or possibly tonight now that it's on my mind.

I think 4-6 weeks is probably just a guideline. Try and remain neutral until you test again so you dont get bummed out.

it took my friend 6 weeks to get a period. I would wait a couple more weeks before testing again. I am surprised they would tell you that you could start trying so soon. Usually its up to 3 months.

ooo man come on already! what's the result?! i love seein' BFP's!!!

Well, I couldn't take it anymore and I tested this morning with my first morning urine. I think I might've gotten a bad test...let me tell you why. We had the kind of pregnancy test with the +/-, and at first glance it appeared as though the plus was forming and of course I got SUPER EXCITED! After the full two minutes, I read it again just to make sure and there wasn't really a plus or a minus! I have taken A LOT of pregnancy tests and I have NEVER seen this before. The control lines showed up just fine, however the vertical line that would make up the + started showing at the top but never finished. From far away, the test looks negative but if you look close enough, you can see the very top of the plus! I don't know what to think! My husband was still sleeping, and I woke him up just to make sure I wasn't going crazy and he saw it too! Have any of you ladies ever had this happen or heard of it happening, and if so, what does it mean???? I am going to test again, but I'm not sure when to take it. Should I wait a couple days, weeks??

Have you tested again?? I am waaay overdue on my AF also. I am going on CD 43. I tested last Friday and I got a BFN. It is really hard to know when to test again...:9 GL!

Well the curiousity was killing my husband so I tested again this morning. This time with a ClearBlue digital (as recommended)...and it was "Not Pregnant", so better luck next month I guess. I knew I wasn't...I just wasn't feeling it this time. I've heard that you're most fertile in the first three cycles following a MC or birth, so I told my husband that after my period, we are having sex every single day lol. Ugh, my body is so weird.

OhI am so sorry to hear that. Well, if it makes you feel any better AF has not come yet for me either and more than likely if I tested today it would be a BFN too.  Keep your head up and Good luck to you!!!! Yay to having sex everyday..thats what my hubby and I are practicing also!!!

I think I am going to test again in a week just to make sure because I have to take Provera to force my period to start...and you're not supposed to take that if you're pregnant. So, I definitely want to be 100% sure before I do that. Best of luck! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Keep me posted!

well don't start getting disappointed until AF shows up because i know with this baby that according to my period i was due on july 4th or 5th, and on july 6th i tested with clear blue easy digital and it said "not pregnant" and on july 9th i still hadn't seen AF so i tested with a +/- test, and it was an EXTREMELY light +, and i posted it on here and ladies told me they saw the + and once i took another test like that and inverted the colors, they all said they could DEFINITELY see the +, i didn't get a real + until i was a week late according to my period and then i also took another digital test, and it said "pregnant", but come to find out from the ultrasound, i apparently ovulated later than i thought, so it was no wonder the + tests came out light and the digital test was negative because according to when i REALLY ovulated, i was 3 weeks and 3 days preggo when i tested. but i wish you the best!
