Anniversary Dinner

My husband and I are going out to dinner tonight to celelbrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. YAY! Dropping off Ben and Baby Jack to Aunt's house then hitting the movie theater and dinner It should be fun. My question, would it be ok for me to have a drink while at dinner? I'm not talking shots, I'm thinking a daquiri or margarita. I'm breastfeeding but have 3, 4 oz bottles already pumped today and probably can get one more before we leave at 3:30 to run some errands. I've heard a million differing opinions, from no drinks at all, to go ahead- as long as you aren't blitzed you're good. I would love a drink, but if it's going to affect my supply for more then 12 hrs or so I won't. Thanks ladies!

I believe you are safe. If you have a drink tonight, pump before bed and tomorrow morning to be safe, so baby isn't drinking homemade white russians, but everything after that will be the same old milk as before.

Maybe he would sleep!! haha. That's what I was thinking. I was looking and found a chart based on my weight that said 1 drink would take roughly 2 hrs to clear from my system. But I will be eating as well. He should wake up around 8:30-9:00 to eat and should still be at my sister-in-law's for that feeding. So if dinner is at 7 then I should be in the clear to feed him at midnight.

lucky! We haven't been able to go anywhere since our honeymoon 2 years ago. What with having a new baby this summer and me not finding a teaching job, we're a little strapped for cash. Good thing he get's a 50% discount at the restaurant we are going to, otherwise I would stuck with Arby's drive-thru for dinner. We're hoping to save up some good money though to go to Cali in the spring, my friend works at Disneyland and can get us in for free. And accomodations are nothing if you take away the price of 4 tickets. I'm hoping that works out, it would be so nice. Seeing as how my friend loves my boys to death and I would probably not be seeing them the entire time we were there.

thats cool. yeah we count this as our aniv my b-day and his gift. it was nice. we saw cirque shanghi gold (like cirus sol ley (sp) and had dinner and an awsome hotel.
