Today's appt gave me a BIG surprise..but

Well here's my update at 38 wks 6days...
I had my 9:30am appt today. I was really hoping to be at least 4 cm dialated. Got checked for dialation for the 1st time and was close to my guess. Im 3 cm dialated and 70% effaced. For those of u who know, I was originally scheduled for induction tommorrow at 2am but I didnt wanna go on w/ it cuz Dr wasnt givin me a good enough reason to be induced. (basically she was gonna be on vacation for my DD) Well Dr said now that she see`s great progression..I'll be risking for a harder labor if I wait. (considering the fact that mom's belly was alot smaller than mine and I ended up being a 10 pounder! yes..i know. HUGE!)
So I finally decide to be induced..so here I goSUPER EXCITEDthat Im finally gonna be able to meet my little princess Tatiana. BUT...I get home and realize i have 2 messages on my cellphone..one from the dr's office saying that hospital had called them n notified that due to storm Faye I should be @ the hospital by 9pm..then 2nd message is from hospital telling me to call them back. i call the hospital immediately and im told dr called hospital and switched induction for FRIDAY at 2am b/c of the storm!!! I cant believe it..i was soooo excited and now I have to wait til friday.. meaning that obviously she might get a lil bigger. stupid storm Faye! lol
Who knows I might go into labor before Friday..b/c it seems like Tati was getting a lil too happy and now she's moving and moving like never before and im getting stronger contractions.

Awwww congrats mama! Yea, we all might have no work tomorrow cuz of Faye, YAY! I cant wait to hear the labor story and see pics of your princesa!

Sike nah..it all happens for a reason..so its ok i guess.

is the storm supposed to hit you cuz my dad lives in Fort Lauderdale and I want to make sure he's ok

well, theyre basically saying its gonna get worse after 12am in our area. ..theresALOT of rain going on now tho.

We're supposed to get the feeder bands, but that can change overnight. I don't think we're getting the center of the storm, I think the west coast of florida is.

Just a thought....I was supposed to be induced on Aug 5th with my little girl and that was when Eduard was hitting the Texas coast (which I live on). They say air pressure drop can trigger labor. Well, by the time I got to the hospital for induction I was already in labor! Maybe Faye will do the same for you!

BTW, Nicola..ur baby shower pics are awesome!..alotta cash and gifts for baby Mackenzie!! lucky thing!

Maybe she will surprise you and decide she is gonna be a hurricane baby esp. if your contracting now and 3cm already!! Just make sure you have gas in the car, everyone around me is grabbing it all up before the storm. My last daughter was born right after Katrina and we had a hard time finding a gas station with gas..Oh the joys of living in Florida!! Good luck and best wishes for an easy labor!

yea..thats soo true. thats what the nurses told me today..pressure can do weird things when ur close to ur DD. We'll just have to wait n see if Faye affects it all.

Thanks, yes we are so grateful for all the gifts! We still have a lot of stuff to get though, but hey we got the cash to do it now! lol... that would be crazy if you have a hurricane baby!!

thats the 1st thing i told BF. fill up ASAP..b/c we never know when our lil Tati will decide to arrive.

lol..its funny cuz about a month ago..someone had told me i was gonna have a hurricane baby but obviously they were just j/kin..n now look..
oh n i also said that i had a feeling i was gonna have my baby on the 23rd and it might just happen that way.. STRANGE!
