MRSA OR WHAT?

Ok so my lil 7mos old, Phoenix, got pimples on his face yesterday which then spread to his chest. Now the pimples are in his groin area and I am freaking out! I read a MRSA story like that with an infant his age! So Mommies I need your help as to what it is or what I should do. He isnt itching them so I dont thinkits chickenpox or something like that!

mrsa looks like a boil and it hott to the touch, will usually give baby a temp and there huge bumps kinda purple

I would just call your pedi. Babies get all sorts of rashes and most of them are nothing at all. It could be an allergic reaction, baby acne, or even a viral rash.

Call your doc. Let them decide if itssomething he needs to be seen foror not. Either way you will feel better!

It may just be baby acne, usually with an MRSA infection it will be very painful, red, swollen etc... I would call the doctor to have it looked at if you're worried. Yes sometimes MRSA can present with several "satellite lesions", but usually there will be the normal signs of infection present as well. Many times pinpoint rashes in the groin area can be a topical yeast infection, that can happen in other areas of the body too, usually in skin folds. Just ask your doc what they think!

MRSA does not spread like that. I would make him a appt asap MRSA can be deadly in babys so go have him checked. It could just be a heat rash
