Don't know where to post this. I was looking for new parents, but there is none. I have been giving my new born formula the the ready to feed, liquid one, but now since we got her into wicwe are only suppost to get the powder kind. My question is... what kind of water do you put in? Becauce my mommy in law has told me that it's okay to boil water for at least five minutes....Is there anyone else doing that??

As long as the water in your area is safe you can just use it straight from the sink. You can ask your ped and they will know.

I always boil water for the formula - I just boil a whole pot of it and put it aside to use later (and then I reheat it again).

You know what a way to comsume ur time without reheat water again. Just after the water is done let it cool of a bit and put it in a thermo. That's what I do so we don't have to do it again and it works. Yay Thermos.

I used tap water and at the time I lived at my Mother's house and she had well water so the doc had to prescribe a floride supplement because they need it for teeth formation. but tap water is just fine. I know of people that leave bottled water out and just give it to the baby room temp. There really isnt a need for the bottle to be warmed, but you can if you want.

Hah! That first sentence came out completly wrong. I apologize. What a dork...it's what happens when your new born won't let you sleep.

You are right, there really isn't a need for the bottle to be warmed. Room tem. is just fine.
