Step-sister(vent..kinda long)

posted 17th Aug
My step sister, Aimee. OMG! She thinks because she's 21 and I'm 17 that she knows MY baby better than ME. And how to take care of MY baby better than ME.
He holds his own bottle now and he dropped it 'cuz he was falling asleep in his swing. Well, she decids it needs to be held FOR him. Well, now I have a wide awake baby because she decided to go over and bug him. I just put his binki in his mouth and walk back off.
Also, I'll be putting him down for a nap and she'll walk in and be like "He's not even CLOSE to being tired" picks him up walks off into the living room and starts playing with him and completly wakes him up (mind you he's rubbing his eyes and has been) So I have to deal with an over tired, fussy baby when she decides she's done playing with him.
She tells me all the time "oh if you need a babysitter for a while I'll take him for you" She can't even take care of a DOG. She doesn't feed/water him, ealk him or give him attention.. what makes her think I believe she'll feed, changer and pay attentiong to a SCREAMING baby. She'd prolly just puit him down in his crib or swing and let him cry whil she goes back upstairs.

sorry this is so long... It just irks me that she thinks she can take care of Alexander better than me... She couldn't even tell he was sick from the way his voice/cry was ON TOP of a runny nose and being congested!
GRRRRR!

Tell her where to stick it! You're his mother, NOT her! Tell her she needs to back off. You're the one who carried him, gave birth, and taking care of him every day. She needs to give you both your space and back off.

haha my family learned real quick to leave my daughter be. they thought i didnt know anything either, although in their defense i was a new mommy, but i always told em I KNOW! and soemtimes i told em off. just sit your sister down and explain ot her it's your child and you know very welll how to take care of your child, even if you are 17. i'd say it nicely the first couple of times but after that then i'd prolly flip out. good luck with your step-sis

My sister was 16 and I was 20 when my daughter was born and to this day she is the same way. She thinks bc she is taking child development courses and child psychology that she is better than I am at being a mom then I told her where her place was and she backed off a lot and I told her that if she didn’t respect me and my decisions that she could take a flying leap.. . guess what, she respected what I said and now she listens

i'd tell her off. if she aint listening to anyone then she doesnt care what any of you say. and when she does pick your child uip from where you had him take him from her hands and put him back where yuo want him. and tell her that this is where HIS mom wants him to be. or i'd jsut stay in my room with him. thats what i used to do, when people i didnt want messign with my daughter would come over.
