We were so hopeful. [Vent.]

My best friend's mom has had breast cancer six times in the past five years. It's never really been a "big deal" because she always went through chemo and into remission...until this last time. She was diagnosed with breast cancer (again) and didn't fight it off as well as she had before. Well, long story short, it moved to her lungs. And then to her liver. At the beginning of May the doctors told her she had three months and she decided to go home on hospice. However all summer she's been doing so well! She started being able to ride in the car and other normal, everyday things. But yesterday she had a seizure and they found eight tumors on her brain. We were all so hopeful.

I can't even begin to comprehend what Emily and her family are going through and I wish there was something I could say. Emily was supposed to start school tomorrow but has decided to do the same program I am doing so she can stay home and be with her mom. I just can't imagine. =[


I just needed to get all of that out.

I am sorry hon.  I don't know what to say, but I will say a prayer for all of you.

I lost a good friend and coworker in the same manner. She only had it come back a second time but when it did it came back on her liver and then just spread everywhere from there. It is so hard to watch someone you love and there loved ones go through that pain. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully someday they will find a true cure for this ugly disease.

It just sucks, I hate not being able to do anything. Emily is the sweetest person in the entire world. Her mom and older sister are all she has, her dad died when she was eight. And now she is going to lose her mom.

I am sorry   ...If you or she ever wnat to talk just Pm me...my mum died last year of brain cancer...Its really going to be tough for her and she will neded you alot..

Thats horrible. I couldn't even begin to know what it's like to go through that   Sorry *hugs*
