The most perfect labor & delivery story

On Monday night I started having contractions at 10 and tossed and turned all night and thought I was leaking fluid but I wasn't sure. I had a dr. appointment at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday and told my hubby he better stay home from work because today might be the day. We brought our bags and carseat just in case and we get to the dr. and of course my contractions like stall out but I went ahead and told her about them anyways and told her about the fluid, well she said its probably just your mucus plug. Which I knew it wasn't because I had already lost it and it wasn't the same consistency of my mucus plug. Well she checked me and lo and beholdI was 3 cm and 80% and she's like cough.. so I did and she's like do that again.. so I did and she's like you're right, you are leaking fluid. Next thing I know she's like are you ready to have this baby? I was like YEAH! She's like okay I'm gunna send u down to OB. So I went down and they let me leave for 30 mins to get somethin to eat before they started the pitocin and we had to go to wal-mart and use the payphone to call familybecause we forgot our cell phone (imagine that) So at 2:30 P.M. they started me on Pitocin and I was already having contractions on my own but nothing too bad. At around 5ish my dr. came back in and checked me and I was still 3 cm and 80% and she broke my water which was the nastiest thing ever. I had to lay there in it and the nurses wouldn't even help change my bed, my SIL was doing it for me. Well, 2 mins after she broke my water the contractions started to be horrid! I thought I was gunna die. I was havin back labor and I knew I wasn't going to be able to do it without pain meds because all I could do was roll back and forth in the bed and they wouldnt let me get up or anything. So two hours later at 7 P.M. the anesthesiologist finally shows up after my contractions were lasting 60-90 seconds and were barely 60 seconds apart but man I loved her after she was done. It wasn't strong enough though bcuz I was still having strong contractions in my left side in this one spot so she cranked it up and gave me some shot in it. At 7:30 they checked me and I was 5 cm and 90%. At 9 I told the nurse she ought to check me because I was feeling extreme pressure so she did and her face was like omg.. and shes like I gotta call the dr.!! I was ready to go and she could see his hair!

To finish my story... After I was dilated to a 10 the dr. came and it took me 2 pushes and he was out. It took me like less than 5 minutes tohave him lol. My dr. couldn't believe it.. she was literally laughing while I was pushing, she said she'd only seen one other woman who it took 1 push and it was her second child. She's like I'll be ur dr. anyday!! She got to go home and get some sleep lol.

Anyways, he was 6 lbs. 3 ozs. 20 1/2 inches long and born at 9:51 P.M on August 12, 2008. I was exactly 38 wks and thru my whole pregnancy I had a feeling I was going to have him on the 13th.. I was off by like 2 hrs. Weird huh?
