thrush!

two days ago I had some extra leakage in my knickers. I thought that maybe it could be my waters breaking gradually; came on here and people told me to go to the hospital&get checked out just to see what it is. My Mum told me not to-that I'd know if my waters had broken. So I left it till today-I had more leakage and went in. Horrifying; my first internal   I feel so uncomfortable with stuff like that and tensed up. She had to put that plastic thing up my vaj and had a little hat with a torch to see clearly   it wasn't as bad as I thought though. Then she swabbed me and said, 'looks like thrush!' how mortifying!! I was supposed to go out with my girlfriends and had to tell them I couldn't as I was going into hospital because my waters may have broken. And later when they were asking me how I'd got on I had to tell them it was good ole' thrush! I'm so glad I went in though-you have to when your un sure of something!

It's a form of yeast infection I believe. But you should watch for it because it's pretty common for babies to get it in there mouths, and if your breast feeding it can be passed on to your nipples. You can pretty much get thrush everywhere, in your month, throat, vagina, nipples, etc etc.

It's how they say yeast infection over there....

It's not serious about at least 75% of women get it at least once in their lives and it's way more common in pregnancy. You can get over the counter medicine and it will be gone in a few days...it can be a lil itchy and you have like a white creamy discharge. Lots of women have it and it comes and goes without them noticing.

oh, my son had that from falling asleep with formula still in his mouth so now we wipe his mouth out when he finnishes a bottle to be sure he isnt hiding any in there.
