38 weeks

So if any of you are from florida you'll know we have a nasty storm coming our way.. well its suppose to turn into a hurricane and my town is suppose to get hit.. LUcky us.. better yet.. i been contractiong on and off and my son wont make up his mind about coming.. and well im due in a week and now i got to worry about this hurricane.. im a Little worried.. specially afraid of going into labor during this damn storm i mean the hospital is right down the street but still.. AHHH.. i been trying everything to get this lil boy out of me.. walking and stuff but he acts like he might come then bam Contractions stop completely.. little booger.. any advice girls?

not to freak you out but they seem to want to come when the barametric pressure drops and that is usually during big storms...Id call your ob and ask what she thinks you should do

Yes, I've heard that this time of year, they like all pregnant women to stay close by to a hospital - something about the pressure dropping and putting you in labor.

man ive heard that alot lately.. now im real nervous.. good thing i live 5 minutes from the hospital

I live in Florida and the storm isn't going to be that bad.. Just expect some rain. If I were you, I would make sure that your bags are packed and that you have talked to the doctor. The storm is going to be hitting Monday night/Tuesday. I wouldn't worry about the storm! Trust me on this one.. I have lived in Florida for one of the worst hurricane seasons and this is just going to be some rain. Have the phone by you so that you can call the hospital just in case.. :-) I am here if you need!

That year was a horrible year.. I drove from Jacksonville to be with my mom in West Palm Beach when Jeanne hit.. That damn hurricane sat there for hours and hours and wouldn't move.. I was sooo mad.. How are you feeling? Have you gotten any affects from the storm yet?

nope nothing.. my stomach has been achy all day but thats all
