Temping Question

So...hopefully I'm going to stick with temping this month...but I just have a couple questions first. I know you temp as soon as you wake up before you do anything else...but what if I wake up just for a second and then go back to sleep? Are you supposed to temp the first time you wake up? And also, I'm not gonna start til AF is over...is this okay?

You generally want to temp at around the same time every day. If I wake up at 4 am and know I'm going to be in a deep sleep again I wait and temp when I wake later around 7. I've heard a rule of so many hours but I don't remember.

Starting when your AF is over is fine. You can also temp vaginally which would be kind of icky during AF so ladies doing that usually wait until its over.

I think you have to have at least 3 good hours of sleep before you temp. So if you wake up and it is too early to temp try to sleep longer, or you might just have to take your temp. Just make a note that it was earlier. When I tested earlier than usual I didn't see a big change. But if I stayed up late or slept in a few extra hours I had a big difference in my temps (usually they came out higher). Good luck!
