Do I make the call or not??

Ok, so I am sure some of you have heard my child support rant! Gosh, I know I am probably getting old. But really, how long am I supposed to fucking wait? I cant stand when I have to just lay down and die! He pays when he "can" regardless of the fact that my kid still has to eat and survive every day.
So, I asked him today, since he is now a month late. He keeps saying he hasn't gotten paid from his last job yet. Ok? Am I wrong to think that it is impossible for him to live for a whole month with no money? (as he claims). Or does it sound more likely that he has money to survive but he is spending it on his new kid? Whenever I ask if his new baby goes without I get called a cunt.

So I have been contemplating calling his parents. I don't ask them for anything. I keep to myself most of the time. I am not even asking for money, I just want them to know what is happening. My gut tells me they would have a fit if they knew he hadn't paid in a month. So do I call??? I am so close to picking up the phone, but I don't know If I am just making myself look crazy. He already said I think my daughter is a "profit". Which every mother out there knows there is no way in hell we are getting rich of child support! But because he called me a gold digger I feel like everytime I stand up for my self on the issue I look greedy.

Please help me.

Personally, I think that it's business between you and your child's father. You shouldn't get his parents into the mess. You both should work it out as adults.

I would do it. Make him look like the jackass he is. You're in no way a gold digger. You're the one supporting your child, he should have to contribute as well. And if he doesn't make his life hell :]]

God I want to make it hell so bad. In Indiana they go to jail once they get $2000 behind. I am so tempted to ride it out.

By the by, is this a court appointed agreement? If not, I strongly suggest going to court and getting it all set up legally.

I would not involve other family members personally. however, it may be time to call the courts and see what kind of action can be taken at this point.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It really is BS that he can jerk you around like that. He should grow up and help take responsibility for his child.

Yes this is a court aggreement, and I can't take him to court until he gets $2000 behind. The problem is he will go a month without paying and it almost gets to that point, then he will throw $50 bucks at me. Which then makes me farther away from being able to take him.
We also can't set up auto deduction because he works on contract jobs, and we would be tracking down employer after employer. The state will not do that for me.

Atleast you ARE getting some from him, though. Not much, but some. I still don't think you should involve his family. You two were mature enough to bring a child into the world, you two are mature enough to handle these things as adults without bringing in mommy and daddy.

Apparently he's not or else he would be respecting the court order and not jerking her around.

And not to be rude but $50 every now and then really isn't "something" when it comes to taking care of your child and paying bills. He's getting off easy.

True, True. Of course we were mature enough to make a kid. I am the mature one here with full custody that just wants her ex to throw a buck their kids way every so often. IMO $500 is alot of money I could spend to do things for my daughter right now. Let alone thatI pay for her health insurance and everything else she needs.

This one is a hard one!! I think if it was me.. I would definitely call, just explain to them that you have no other option and dont know what to do.. you cant just let him get away with it!
