Kindergarten

Alright girls, whose kids will be starting school for the first time this year? My oldest is going to kindergarten in two weeks. Doesn't help that I just had a baby and my emotions are all full of blubbers. She is ready and thrives off a schedule so I shouldn't worry. Now in a couple years when her brother goes that will be a different story since he is the shy one. If your kid has already started school tell us how it went, did you cry?!

Maddy starts this Friday and I am a wreck. She is so smart and will do great, but she is sensitive and scared too. Ugh, this sucks.
 

My daughter starts Kindergarten Sept. 2nd and I have been having a hard time with it since like Dec. LoL. I can't believe she is old enough it seems like yesterday she was my little baby. I keep telling her I want he to be a baby again and she says well you will have another baby soon hehe. She also says that I can pretend she is still a baby  
The one good thing about this Kindergarten is that she already knows most of the kids.and her teacher. She goes to a private school that has a preschool and she went last year. I am just scared for the bus, I know she is responsible, but how does she know where to get off. I know she will have help I am just worried.

My daughter started kindergarten last year and I felt very prepared because she was in preschool for 2 years prior but it was so different, in preschool you can stay with your child if they are crying or being clingy, with in a week of her being in kindergarten she started doing the "I want my mommy. I want to go home" thing every time I would drop her off and the teacher would have me kiss her and hug her then she would take her in to the class room and close the door and I would wait and look in the window but the teacher actually came out and told me to leave because if my daughter saw me she wouldnt calm down  I was almost mad at first but then realized that she is right I have to let my daughter adjust with out me, and it was really hard and yes I went home and bitched about it to my husband and then cried then got over it as time went by, lol, it is hard but when you start seeing how grown up your child gets week after week, and they start reading and writing it is amazing and it makes up for all of it  Good Luck.

I was worried about the bus too! Maddy's school told me that the bus drivers are assigned to the same children everyday. There is no driver swap out. They have a list of all the children that ride the bus, and their address. I also have to be there to drop/pick her up at the bus stop or else they bring her back to school!

I teach preschool so she was in my own, however I do know the kids usually calm down after a while when the parents leave, then start all over the next day LOL

I am so glad we don't use the bus, that is just way to scary for me, lol, knowing my daughter she would get to confident and miss it and try walking or something,ugh no thanks.

ya it took awhile but then I started to drop her off in the drive up drop off and she didnt have the choice to cling on to me, lol so she ended up getting over it it took about 3-4 weeks though.

My son started school when he was 3 he is a specail needs child and i didnt really have a problem with it it was sad to see him go but i didnt cry. You just have to relize they grow up sometimes even though you dont want them too. So thats what i keep telling myself. lol He is now starting pre-k on the 25th so it will be intersting to see how he does half in specail ed and half reg classes.

Brayden started Pre-K last the 7, which I am kinda getting used to it. because I am just next door at the high school teaching.. So, I think him starting Kindergarden will be just fine! however, Olivia starting is gonna scare me..
