Yeah, the less laundry you have to do daily, the better. So stock up on everything. Make sure you have lots of onsies and pjs. It's a winter baby, so you'll wanna keep 'em warm! (I've been thinking this through.. hehe) Maybe think about a carseat cover, you know, the boot thing, to keep them warmer as well.

Yess, they dooo have infant snowsuits, I bought my friend's at walmart last year. Get there when they're first putting winter stuff out, they go quick.

I've only got 5 weeks left & I keep trying to remember everything I bought~ I have boxes & tubs galore of everything. I am supplied (other than diapers) for @ least 6 months, but it is easier when it is your 2nd~ then you remember everything you didn't have when you had your 1st

They do, but keep in mind you're not supposed to put a baby in a snowsuit in the carseat...the straps wont fit tight enough.

You might want a "boot" for the carseat. It stretches over and covers the whole thing...often with a hole in it so you can peek in at baby's face.

yeah, I think I lucked out in that department. My Mom ensured I had EVERYTHING for my first. Some stuff I didn't even use. lol
clothes and blankets were always welcomed and used though. Can't have too much of them!

Agree~ the more of anything is better with a newborn! I was totally unprepared w/ my daughter~ she had stuff she needed, but it would've been nice to have more stuff ready.

a baby bath, is a nice thing to have as well. Something else is a snugli or a baby sling... it's nice to have a couple free hands, and since you're having a winter baby, then you can *ideally* wear them in your coat, as long as your coat's big enough, while you're out shopping, or out for a walk or something. Slings are also nice for if you're breastfeeding, because it helps you do it discretely and comfortably for both of you.

I prefered the car seat covers, that stretch over the carseat and block the wind, rain and snow to wrestling an infant into a snowsuit., but I had friends that used both
