I think the first thing that hits a second timer is how different your children are, even the minute they're born. I truly had no idea that my second could be- and truly is- a completely different person than my oldest and that you could tell the minute he was born. As far as parenting and caring for a baby in general, I think you learn to streamline as you go along. I've pared my diaper bag down from forty different "just in cases" to about five necessities. I can change a diaper while they're still fully dressed AND standing up. I found bringing my second home much easier than doing the same with my first because there are things you're just better at.

For us, we planned our second so financially we were fine. Not to say that we're rolling in it by any means, but we're comfortable and that takes a lot of stress off a new addition.

thanks...I didn't think anyone understood what I was saying, so I took it down! LOL.....but I want to go back to school first to get my degree in nursing before I decide to have another baby....just cause, I had money to get the things my son needed, but it was kinda like when I saw it I couldn't get it right then I had to wait til the next week, I want to be stable in everything. I still live with my mother, well mostly at my sons father's ( which he stays with his parents too ) and I want to bring my second home to their own place, and I need another car as well not even just for a new addition, but just for myself and my son!

We brought my first home to my in-laws. Talk about not how I envisioned it. A big enough house, but very little privacy and there was always someone else around. You just don't feel like it's your own space and it inhibits you as a parent, I think. I'm all for being in your own space if you can swing it- it really does make such a huge difference. I don't know that I really felt like an adult and a mother when my first was born because I felt like a child living with the 'rents. There was something so rewarding about bringing Adam home to OUR house.

It also feels good to be able to buy what you need. We still budget and pick and choose what we need right now but I think the experience of not having money puts a lot into perspective. You don't buy trendy unnecessary crap and you don't overindulge your kids which I don't agree with anyway. Eeking by makes you appreciate things a lot more.

I know... I told my son's father that we need to buy him some shoes, so he can start wearing them...the frist thing out his mouth was Jordan's.....I said he dosen't need anything like that, nike's things like that are fine! But Im more so into...long as its cute I like it name brand or not. But I have my eyes set on another baby, but of course not right now cause I don't want two kids so close in age, but my eyes or more set on moving into my own place and getting another car, thats safer and that dosen't need alot of work like my present car! I just want to have my own, before I bring my second in the world. Its not that I hate depending on my family, but I feel like if I would have taken that extra precautions of having safe sex, I would be alomst done with school and closer than what I am now to having my own place and upgrading, but I just really want to have a place to call my own, I want my second to have a nice nursery and all!
