Thanks. I really don't know how I did it either. There were a few breakdowns, but I suppose just dayto day worked for me.But he's coming home soon, like 3 weeks away. He finally gets to meet his daughter. xD

yeah don't be paranoid. My one freind who got preggo on it 2 times was dumb and didn't wait lol. She had sex a few hours later lol

I had the shot twice and no BC after those two times -- 4 years later, I ended up pregnant. I had a period maybe once every 4 months, that lasted 2 days at most.. oh, and the most exciting thing about it.. I gained probably 40lbs!

It's amazing to see the amount of women who had bad experiences with it and yet there isn't really adequate warnings about it... I will never again try a birth control without looking it up and checking out people's experiences with them.

i got on it december of 2003 and stayed on it until december 2005. they recommend you are only on it for 2 year intervals due to the bone density loss that can occur while your on it. i loved it. i didn't gain any weight and it was VERY reliable. i also never spotted, didn't bleed once the entire two years. i came off of it and went on to the pill but stopped that in march 2006 as my husband was in iraq and there was no reason. i got pregnant in september 2006, right when my husband came home. so i had no problems TTC.

i went on it again at my 6 week post-partum appointment. my body chemistry must have changed because of the pregnancy and i spotted pretty much daily until it wore off. now i'm on the seasonique pill and so far that is working out great.

I was on Depo off & on for 5 yrs.. Every other year I stopped taking the shot to give my body a "break"..

At the 5yr mark..I knew I wanted kids in the near future and stopped the shot..

I had no problems while on the shot..

But coming off the shot was HORRIBLE..

I was a healthy 98lbs on Depo (I'm 5ft)   After dropping the shot..I quickly went from 98lbs to 81 lbs ..I looked anoxeric   (I was still eating like before).

I have always been level headed and rarely moody   But coming off the shot..I felt suidical, depressed, was extermely moody !!

My period took 1 1/2yrs to come back.. My cycles were NEVER NORMAL again.. I use to have cycles like clockwork.. Not anymore.. My cycles are so irregular now  

It took me almost a year to get pregnant with my daughter do to irregular cycles   I want another baby.. and have been off the pill since March and still nto pregnant  

My best friend was on it for 7yrs and had no problems on it.. But when she got married and they decided to have a baby..she dropped the shot..Her only side effects is weight gain. She has gained 10lbs in the couple of months since she dropped the shot.

I didn't like the pill either.. The first time I bled for 6 wks .. The dr changed brands..I felt like I was pregnant again..constant naseous feeling, constantly hungry, spotting constantly.. Changed brands again.. Didn't feel pregnant anymore, but was constantly hungry and spotted all the time..

I dropped the pill in March since I want another baby.. I finally lost the rest of my baby weight and back to PP weight.

If we have another baby..Then I'm getting my tubes tied afterward..I refuse to use birth control anymore. (we would be left with medical bills if my husband got the V and my c-section/tubes will be FREE).

i dare not touch the depo....im affraid i will gain a 1000000lbs since i gain easily

I'm less bothered by the weight gain and more about the chance of having a hard time concieving... I don't want to ever take anything that messes with my body that bad again... My hair was coming out in clumps!

I also had the depo shot and it was theWORST thing I ever did. I bled for 6 months, I gained weight, had major fatigue, NO sex drive whatsoever, lossed hair and was very emotional. Ahhhh I can't even think about it. They say depo doesn't ware off until a year after your last shot so you usually can't conveice within that year. I had no trouble conceiving 3 years after the shot. I actually heard somewhere they give this shot to sex offenders so they don't have a sex drive but I could just be blowing smoke out my ass.
