Bottle Sanitizer

posted 16th Aug
Hey i am making my baby registry and have chosen to use the Playtex Vent Air Bottles and I was wondering if I should add too it a bottle warmer and sanitizer? My mom used the Dropins so she really can't help me with this issue.

I wouldn’t not with the ventaire the rubber piece melted on me before. I always boiled them to sanitize them and it doesn’t have to be very long. And you save money by boiling them

Dishwasher and a once a month 5 min boiling. Did boil them before 1st use, unless it was an emergency and we were out and needed a bottle or baby starved for more than half an hour.

boiling them does the same thing. My husband used our warmer. I breast feed and when he had to give her a bottle he was worried he would heat it wrong so he used the warmer. but if you are going to use formula then i would not get one. if i did use formula i would leave her bottle of water on the counter then add formula to it so it was room temp

Personally I prefer the dropins because they are bpa free. But you can just boil water and drop the bottle in.. Its easier and cheaper.. also.. do you have a dishwasher? If you do, the dishwasher will actually sterilize for you just by tossing them in. Most moms i know only really sterilize their bottles before the first use.

Rofl. Im like super cautious mama says the pat.. I told him the bpa stuff awhile ago freaking out that our kids going to get extra estrogen and grow man boobs.. Lol.. Im amused by it all... But do remember.. Im not saying dont use them because well to each her own.. But from what i hear babiesrus is pulling all nonbpa free bottles off their shelves by 2009. Not sure how true that is... Im not really sure i believe in the bpa craze anymore, but better safe then sorry. and from what i hear most sanitizers give it off too... *Sighs* Im a spaz, gotta love me.

HMMM see i just love the ventairs cause the are like proven or whatever to prevent colic and don't give the baby as much gas. so there stomach don't hurt as bad. My mom used Dropins with me and I got colic so i guess i was just kinda nervous about using them with connor.

Drop ins are supposed to reduce colic as well, it depends on the baby.. We had drop ins with my neice and she had colic, we couldnt figure out why then someone got http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2792622for us and she didnt really have any issues after.. so it really does depend on the baby.
