2.5 weeks pp and swelling (TMI)

The day after I had my son I felt great, so I was up moving around andeverything. However, a couple of days ago I had stated cramping really bad, like contractions type cramping. Then my bleeding had slowed and turned brown, then yellow, but now it is bright red again. I have began to swell down there and it is a little scary. I've heard that the inside of your vagina can be swollen for awhile afterwards, but2 and a halfweeks after? That seems a little long to me. In fact, the tissues (or whatever is inside your vagina) are so swollen that it's like 'pushing' the vaginal "lips" open and you can see the swollen tissues (or whatever they are). I plan to call the doctor tomorrow, but I'm just wondering if any of you have had a similar experience or have any idea of what is going on.

Its been nine days since I had my son and since yesterday the burning when I urinated has finally stopped, (Thank-God!) I couldn't cope with it much longer! My bleeding is a bit weird though, it was pretty heavy the first couple days & very clotty, then it started to slow down, then over the past few days (like three/four days) it turned brown, then this morning when I went toilet I was bleeding very heavy again to the point it was continually dripping & there was clots on my period pad - which has not happened since the first couple days after I had him. I haven't had any pain, just the normal ache between my legs that I've had since I've had him. An my vaginas still pretty swelled which I think is why I have that ache. I too have been pretty busy since the day I had him, running around like a mad women but my midwife felt my belly yesterday & she said it feels fine & that everythings gone down pretty well.    ... But the bleeding this morning that I can't explain  

Its almost 3 weeks since I gave birth to my baby girl and my vagina is still swollen!! Not as bad as it was the first week, but it still hurts to sit, the stitches are so uncomfortable.... it sucks, but its normal. My doc told me not to worry about it, it can remain swollen for a long time!

Sounds like your body is telling you to slow down. I felt awesome after Jack was born on 8/1 and just recently, I would say the last 2-3 days- I have noticed I am sore and crampy. I felt awesome after he was born though, we went all over the palce, walking and even to the YMCA for my oldest son's swim lessons. But now it hurts to sit to long and my stomach constantly hurts and my vag is swollen. Slow down mama, take it easy.

i have no advice to offer but....i hope you feel better!! that doesnt sound like fun

lol that does sound nice...But thanks all for your advice and I am glad that I am not the only one that feel these pains, I thought that something was wrong with me
