past is past yes but i do hope you are not only living for the now but the future as well. finishing school setting goals do what you can to ensure a successful future for your child.

and ive said is a a million times to people on here it seems...if you know in your heart that these statistics don't/won't apply or whatever to you then no worries. don't sweat it or get offended. if anything let it motivate you to NOT become those statistics.

I mean, it's quite possible- rare, but possible yes. Take her word for it. Until she proves you wrong, there's not much to say.

I am a 16 year old, 7 months pregnant with a little girl. I guess I am not one of the statistics. I was homeschooled in the middle of my sophomore year because at the end of my 8th grade year I was raped and sexually and physically assulted by two different boys. Neither charged with anything because there were no witnesses. I finished my freshman year and by the middle of my sophomore year I couldn't handle everyone calling me a liar anymore...including the teachers. My mother took me out and is now homeschooling me. My pregnancy will have no affect on my school. I have a job with my mother which I cannot lose since it is her business. I found it very easy to eat healthier because all the grease in fast food made me sick.
I wasn't able to take my prenatal vitamins because I cannot take a pill since I got pregnant. My doctor just told me to take Flinstones Gummies because they have the same nutritional value as prenatals.
I lost 12-14 pounds when I first got pregnant and still to this day have not gained them ALL back yet, I am 2 pounds short. My doctor told me that since I am young, I am supposed to gain almost 40 pounds but, the baby is perfectly healthy even though nothing they do for me is making me gain the weight. I eat atleast 3 meals a day and pretty much when I am hungry. I have two bowls of cereal each day( one when I wake up and one about 2 hours before I go to bed). And drink milk by the gallon ( we go through about 4 gallons a week) And my main craving is Root Beer. My doctor told me as long as I drink other fluids, it won't hurt me, or the baby and that some caffeene is okay for me, and my daughter.
I live with my parents, and have to for the next 2 years, so, me living on welfare, not happening. My boyfriend is 18 and has a job. He is looking fora better one now that landscaping is slowing down, but he works landscaping in the winter as well (plowing roads and salting). He is very willing to work and loves his little girl more than life itself.

I honestly don't believe that I am a statistic, I am one of the few who aren't

I disagree with most of that.
I'm 19 and expecting twins and at the moment, I have the financial and emotional ability for my kids.
I eat pretty healithy most of the time, I don't smoke or drink.
The statements about financial and emotional capacity could just as easily apply to a 30 year old mother.

i feel as if they try to beat us down so much ... okay everyone isn't perfect and a baby is a Gift from God, God will make a way out of no way , to me a baby should make you want to stay in school so they can have a better life, i know many teens how take care of their baby's way better than an average woman

Agreed!
I know plenty of teen mothers who have done fantastically.
In my honest opinion, I don't think it's anyones business what age we are when we have kids.
Fair enough if you don't agree with teenage mothers, everyone has their own opinions, but constantly trying to bring us down is pathetic.

to be honest, if they would encourage us to stay in school, and have small programs to help teen girls then maybe things would be a little better. Im not saying it's okay to get "knockedup" at an early age, but everything happens for a reason. You can sit around and listen to all that crap " your life is over" and all that , or you can do something to not only make your life better but your child also. I am 15 years old and i refuse to let anyone destroy me. I have complete faith in God and since he has forgiven me i have forgiven myself. Young teen mother's need to stick together to prove not only to the world but to ourselves that we can do better, not only in school , but also in our life

To me, my life is just beginning because I'm getting two little angels brought into my life

Most women don't "try to beat you down". If anything, they're trying to throw you a chance to prove them wrong. To have that will power to work hard.
