hospital bag

Ok I know this is going to be a stupid question but Im going to ask it anyway I do Oct 8-15 and I know its never to early to pack a hospital bag But what do you pack in it I mean I know an outfit for the baby and a outfit for you but what else This is my frist and im going to be by myself so if my water breaks or something happens Ive got to be able to rush myself to the hospital lol So please someone help me

My mom told me that you will need these really big pads for the bleeding after birth, maybe a robe or something if you don't like the hospital's. Maybe a bottle for the baby, if you don't plan on breastfeeding...Soap, toothbrush..Just some ideas

all i can think of right now is a change of clothes for yourself, including a bra, make sure you pack some pads for the leaky boobs (my sis told me that one). Or any other necessities u think u may need. An extra toothbrush etc.

maybe some nice pj's. I brought a few comfy pj's so that if family and friends came to visit I wasn't hanging out in my hospital robe. Some socks, or even slippers if you want. We also brought cards because you can only watch so much TV, and the baby slept a lot, and there were times that we would play while we waited. Maybe a garbage bag or something for all the stuff that you may get from family and friends and the hospital goodies. Just some thoughts.
Ive heard some girls saying that the hospital didn't supply them with diapers, so you might want to look into that and maybe bring some with you.

for my first baby i packed the essentials:
1. change of clothes for me (pjs, slippers, socks, maternity bras, underwear)
2. change of clothes for the baby
3. pads
4. toothbrush / toothpaste
5. comb / brush (whatever you use)
6. baby blankets
7. baby wipes
8. if you wear contacts; some solution and glasses
and everything else you might deem necessary

chapstick!!!!! i pushed for almost 4 hours and this was a life saver.
