Age difference

posted 15th Aug
For those of you who have multiple children....what do you think is the best age difference? My daughter is a week shy of 6 months and we are planning to renew our vows and go on a trip afterwards...I think shortly after is the best time....what do you all think?

My first two are 20 or so months apart. My 1st son and the one coming up will be about 18 months apart.

My daughter and son get along soooo good. Shes the best big sister to him and he loves following her around and copying everything she does. They play soo good together!

Well, I think the idea is 3-4 years.

That said, mine will be 26 months apart, heh.

I have a 9-yr gap with my kids and I think that is way too long. I think 1 to 3 years is good imo.

I was thinking the same...sometime between and year and a half and 3 years. Alot of children in my family are a year or so apart...it works but at the same time almost seems hard on the parents...I want to be able to give enough attention to each one of them....my daughter is an attention hog....lol. A beautiful one though :-)

In my opinion less than 3 or more than 4 years - the 3 year space is difficult - more rivalry, more fighting, it's just no good.

I actualy read in Parents magazine today that getting pregnant 6 or less months after giving birth increase your chances of preterm labor by 40% and its still not a good idea to from 6-12 months for the same reason just less precentage. its best to wait 12-18 months to givwe youe body a chance to recover. As far as the ages it depends on the kids som kids born close in age are close some arnt. And some parents find itr asy to have them close some dont. thats all a prefrence.

I say 2-3 yrs. That being said my sis has 2 girls 2 yrs. apart and they fight over everything! But her oldest a boy and one of my neices are only 2 yrs. apart and they did very well together. So it depends on your luck I guess!!

We dont want to get pregnant again soon afterwards, Im 19 and my bf is 21 (he'll be 22 when this baby is born). We want to wait till this baby is around 5-6 yrs old...when she's in school. I really dont want 2 toddlers running around and a dog!
It all depends on your plans. Like my bf and I want to finish paying off our house before having #2, which we will pay off in like 4.5 yrs, that way we'll have like a yr or so with no house payments before having our second baby.

I'm a bad person to ask because my sons are 10 & 6 then baby will be here in two months. Way too far apart for most, but it worked fine for us. I would say no more that 3-4 years apart. 1 year apart may bee too close for your body, physically and mentally. 2 years might fit well, but I think 3 would be best.

Have fun on your trip and best of luck in your decision.
