My bad. I wasn't trying to be rude, thanks. My friends used to ask me how it worked and I wouldnt know so I just thought that hey, if I'm trusting this thing I better know how it works! I figured since mine is called an IUD they all were, I've never heard them be called anything else. I have the paragard IUD.

It's cool. I thought it was an IUD at first to, and my doctor corrected me. So, yeah. I'm kinda excited to get it.

My friend that recommended it to me called it an IUD and she had the mirena at the time, not paraguard. My doc recommended paragard because there are no added hormones and my periods would be the same after a few months. I figure when I want more kids I can just take it out....aaand my boyfriend couldn't handle me if I had more hormones!! haha

Lol, yeah. Me and my fiance want to wait a few more years to get pregnant again. And, I'm so busy lately with my son I'll forget to take the pill every day. So, I think Mirena was the best choice right now.
