Adding to a existing tattoo

i was just wondering if i should add to my existing tattoo to put something in there for oscar?? i dont know what i want to add or if it is going to make the existing one look silly. this tat was for my aunty that pased away 12months ago. sorry about the pic not being to clear

I think you should get a whole different tattoo for Oscar.

if that tat is in memory of someone else, i would go with a different one for Oscar (im guessing thats your son?)

yes it was, im not sure what i want to get for him. i was thinking his foot prints but i think they look to much like stamps

my friend has little balloons with her babies initials in them.

That would be very cute... even if they look like stamps, they're HIS footprints. They're very unique to Oscar.

the only thing with his footprints is that i only have the right foot. i was thinking of getting it reversed so that they look like a pair. i also want his name n date that he was born. i want that or either a hand holding a angel. just not sure

i would say that if the answer is no, then yes it would be a good idea. maybe you could get another ribbon at the top?

so to answer your original question, i think itsa good idea!

again, im so sorry for your loss...

this was just a idea from my tattooist to add to it. i dont know if i want something that is just his or to add on to the existing one. i dont want to do something that i will regret by putting something on the one i have n i dont like it or to just go with something else on a different part.

I think in the end and down the road you'd be happier with something that is soley Oscar's. Although the original tattoo is also in memorial, it was originally created with someone else in mind and that was who was thought of the entire process of getting it. I'm going to say something, and please don't take it the wrong way.... but, you don't want something that seems like it was added as an afterthought.... ya know?

But in the end, it is your tattoo and you should do whatever you feel will make you happiest.

There was a memorial tattoo... I don't know if it was someone here or elsewhere, but they had a tattoo of their baby's footprint (only one) and it had a colored halo over the big toe.... perhaps something like that?

Have a good think about what you may want. I think a tattoo for Oscar by himself would be nice. I have my sons footprints and his name in nice writing on my lower back. (if i can download the pic from my phone I will Pm it to you to have a look) Good luck with your choice. Let us know how you go.
