For those who have to have your child vaccinated before scho

I took my 4 and a half year old to get her shots today(manditory where we live to start junior kindergarden) and thought I was clever getting the Emla patches.For those of you unfamiliar with these, they are numbing patches with lidocaine for the area where they get these shots.What a waste of 10 dollars(for two patches).Not only did it cause a reaction on my daughters skin, but to take the patch off, it nearly peeled away the skin, so she started in hysterics even before the shot.Thank God hubby was there to hold her(he took some time out of his busy schedule to parent) .So do not waste your money-so not worth it!However my 2 year old wasn't up to date neither unbeknownst to me, and when she got her shot not even a wince or a whimper, and she was all smiles afterwards!You just never know how they are going to react!

Oh no. I have never heard of those patches. I got my daughters a couple months ago.
