update.

aiden had his renal scan today & everything seemed fine.
his left kidney still has fluid in it, but nothings going on with them.
no blockages, kinks or anything, thankgod! so he goes for a ultrasound in october to see if theres any changes with the kidney. the renal scan was so scary :[
this was his second time having a cathader put in, and he had a IV in his arm for an hour where they put him in a blanket, so he couldnt move for a whole hour.
& in jected dye into him so they could see how the kidneys were working.
then one of the dumb ass doctors didnt listen to me when i said the needle is coming out & then it fell out rite when the test was finishing and blood was all over.. he was fine but i cried :[

awww I'm sorry mama! I'm glad everything looked good though! Hopefully things will be perfect by October!

there's a surgery they do if things dont seem better.

my daughter had that done at 3. She had Urinary Reflux, which she ended up having surgery and is now great. ( I had it as a kid too)

That test is really scary because of the catheter and they Freak Out really bad. I am glad his came back good. I dreaded those tests butdid them becuase they are necessary. We did those Renal scans about 8 times and she finally started doing regular ultrasounds with no catheterization

ugh they are horrible.
i felt so bad for him.
he slept for the first 30 minutes.
then the last 30 minutes he screamed his head off :/

the catheter had to be worse for a boy too. She squeezed my arm so hard the first time I had nail marks and bruises.

ye she had surgery at 5 1/2 then they did two more renal scans in the next year and she is fine and has a regular functioning kidney with no reflux. She still pees the bed though because her bladder got "tough" and restrics when she is sleeping but that will correct itself over time.

What caused problems with his kidneys?
My little guy has extra vessels in his, and they said it could lead to fluid making them swell later on. I was just wondering if he had a similar problem?

when i was 8 months pregnant they saw on one of my ultrasounds that he had a kidney that was bigger then the other. then he had a ultrasound when he was a month old and they found fluid in them. and weve down a few tests since they found the fluid.

my son had the same thing ... only he had surgery when he was a month old so his kidneys wouldnt fail. i find out in 2 months when he can get the corrective surgery done and start being a normal baby boy again !!! i'm happy everythings good for him... 
and your lucky he slept for a bit. noah was screamin the entire time and i bawled my eyes out durin the catheder part.. i think i was crying harder than noah was . =/

my mom and i cried. it was the saddest thing.
im glad youre sons doing good!
