I just was on that family watchdog site , and out that a convicted child molester lives right across the street !!!!!! And the worst part is my hubby got a job and can only come home on the weekends . This is just great!

Well, first I'd find out if that's actually legit. A lot of websites like that are fake, out of date, etc.

If it IS real, blast his ass if he gets near your house. lol

I go to my county sheriff department website. Most of them allow you to view all the registered offenders & you can sign up for email alerts when one moves within a certain radius of your address~ I would check into that.

You've also gotta realize though that some men get convicted if they were maybe 18 or 19 and sleeping with a 15 or 16 yr old girl. I'd still be careful though

1) what was his specific charge?

2) don't let your child in his house and you're golden.

ya well thats what i thought good area , there was even a pic and I emailed to my husband becouse I havent seen this guy yet and he told it was absoulty him . oh the guy just moved in like 3 weeks ago . Yeah there really are no "good" areas anymore.

not everyone who is a registered sex offender is a pervert. a lot were 18 and got their 15 yr old g.f pregnant. sucks. and theres a man who lives by my mom whos on there, and we've never been scared of him. shit happens sometimes, it doesnt always mean theyre a sick child molester.

i just looked mine up and there isa guy convicted of sexual batterylike 5 houses down...that just freaks me out!

Molesters known by the family or victim are the most common abusers. The Acquaintance Molester accounts for 70-90% of reported cases.

Seriously, your kid is more likely to be molested by a family member, church leader, scout leader etc. than by some pedophile that lives on your street.

What was his charge?

Was he convicted of molesting babies?

If not, he's likely not a threat.

There are also many levels of sex crimes you have to remember.

Right now, I have a rental house and we have *gasp* a registered sex offender living there.

He was 19 at the time and was dating and having sex with his 14 year old girlfriend. Her parents pressed charges and his life has been ruined forever. He's 23 now and because of one stupid mistake, he is forever labeled a sex offender.

I don't know what your neighbor did, but if it was that bad and he was a high risk offender, do you really think he would be allowed out? Probably not.

People don't realize that these people are carefully monitored. My tenant has to go to his probation officer once a week and has random drug and alcohol tests.

Of course, all of the neighbors in that neighborhood hate me, but guess what? I don't care. I did nothing immoral or illegal renting to him. If anything, I gave him a second chance. Maybe you might be willing to do the same.

ya i know but if you say this guys pic it is a little scary , i just looked up what his conviction was and it says :Aggraivated sexual abuse of a child .
