water leaking?

how can you tell if your water is just leaking?

My doctor described the leaking as a wet feeling that you can't wipe away. lol

i heard that you can get a towel and put it on the floor by your bed and sqwat down there for a while if the towel gets wet and you know you havnt peed then your water might be leaking!

I was just up at L&D two nights ago because I thought maybe I was just barely leaking. Anyway they had me lay on my back with my butt slightly elevated and had me cough really hard a couple times. They said that if it was even a slight leak then it would have definitely been at least a small "gush" of fluid. They still tested me just in case. It just turned out to be copious amounts of discharge with a little urine. Oh well the joys of pregnancy.... right?

That's true, when your water leaks it doesn't just go away it is continious (sp). It will keep coming and there is nothing that you can do. I went to the hospital with my second pregnancy becuase I thought that my water broke all excited and after they checked me they told me I just peed all over myself. I was embarrassed because I peed the bed with my husband in it...lol. He thought the same thing though but it didn't have a smell so I was worried. If you can't get the water to stop, go to the doctor.
