Anyone with an ECV/Version experience?

Has anyone had experience with trying to move a breech baby with an ECV? I've got until 9/8 to get him to flip him around or else I'm going on the 9th for the "version". Did it work? Did it hurt? Any inout would be helpful, since a goggle search turns up horror stories about it! Thanks and TGIF!
