3 days PAST my due date

Hey ladies I was due Aug. 12 and its not Aug. 15 and I know 3 days isn't a long time to be over due but I just want my baby already! and the anticipation is killing me! I'm 1 cm dialated (or at least from my last doctors appt) and 80% effaced. Anyone who's been there before have any tips? because walking alot isn't quite working for me. Thanks

If you are lucky this full moon may help you out or so they so. I'm due Monday and I sure hope it helps me out.

well i have 3dif
things My friends sister ran up and down the steps all day (be careful!!!!) and she went into labor that night
now my ex's brother baby mother (lol) drank some castor oil..and she went into labor a couple hours later and had the baby the next day.
My friend walked around alot and had lots and lots of sex
i heard playing with you nipples help to..........but i'm not expert or a doc..just telling you what i've seen work

I'm not overdue but I'm really hoping for this full moon as well! I am being induced at 38 weeks for a couple of medical reasons, so I really wanted to go into labor before then. I've done.. LITERALLY... everything. NOTHING worked. I believe now that's it true that they won't come until they want to. I've done acupressure, castor oil, hot baths, nipple stimulation, herbs, walking, sex, the birthing ball, more walking, eating spicy food, etc. All I have is sore nipples, and I went through an hour of false labor that was pretty intense. SO... hoping the full moon works it's magic on the babies that are ready to come out!

thanks..I heard of that too the playing with the nipples can cause contractions but I feel funny to do that but if it works then hey and I tried the sex thing but I can't I guess the way the baby is positioned no matter how we try it hurts really bad so I gave up on that.

OO wow you really did try it all. Yea thats what my mom keeps telling me when the babys ready she'll come out but I'm ready so she needs to come out lol. I wish you the best of luck

And I will say that the castor oil DID work for me.. I'm 160 lbs. and I took about 2 tablespoons as directed by my DR. shoken up with some pop (easiest way to go down). You have to chug it fast.. as it's super nasty. I then waited 3 hrs and took another 2 tablespoons. Went to bed, and woke up about 6 hours later with WOW contractions. After an hour they were getting super intense and were about 5 minutes apart, lasting 60 seconds. I could NOT get my BF up (GRRR) and decided to jump in a hot bath to calm them down. As soon as I got out of the bath, they slowed down to one every 10 minutes, and they were not painful at all. I was SO bummed.. Had I not taken a bath I really think I would have had him that night!

She drank the WHOLE BOTTLE which is why i think she went into labor so fast...lol

uumm what does the full moon have to do with labor???? never heard of that

Yeah, sex really hurts for me too, I only did it once 2 days ago, and once last night just to see if it would start anything. I was really uncomfy doing the nipple thing, too.. so I got a breast pump, and just pumped about 5 or 10 mins on each side. You have to keep a hot washcloth on the other boob, though, to keep it from getting really sore. I DID start contractions for me, I would get one every 10 mins or so. But since my body isint' as far along as yours (my cervix is soft, but not effaced or dialated) I think once I stopped they just didn't want to keep going on their own.   And the walking, same thing. So you might try those few things if you wanted.. because your body is more ready... you might be able to just get her out within a matter or hours!!!

OH MY GOD!! I give her major points.. I have NO idea how I would get that whole thing down! I mean.. it's only 6 oz, which doens't sound too bad, but even just 2 tablespoons in pop had me gagging after the third time of doing it. Do you know what she mixed it with?? Alot of ppl say they just get awful bowel movements from it, but I didn't have any major issues with it. And I tried it for 2/3 days. I wish I had the guts to try the whole bottle!

The full moon is supposed to have some kind of extra energy/gravity that causes alot of animals to mate and people to go into labor. Alot of Indian Doctors swear by it. And many hospitals will tell you that on full moons, they are much more full with pregnant women than normal weekends. And it only happens once a month.. so the next one after this weekend is at the end of September. This one is on Saturday, around 9pm. So two of my DR's from my OBGYN office are on call for Sunday. My mom had 7 of us, and we were all born within days of the full moon, if not on that night.

They say that the same way the moon has an effect on the water (rivers, oceans, etc) with the tides and such the pressure from it causes many woman to go into labor with a full moon or close to a full moon. IDK, but I hear a lot of people saying it even so L&D over staff onfull moons because of it. So there has to be some truth in it.

Oh wow I tried that stuff with my first pregnancy and I couldn't get it down in OJ it was like drinking cooking oil or something. Yuck!
