posted 15th Aug
Hey Mommies,
so i jus had my baby 6 dayz ago and i have heard about how after i had the baby i would be bleeding so heavily and non-stop. Well so far i've been bleeding less than my period and yesterday and today i hardly have any bleeding at all. Is this normal...i hope there is nothing wrong because arent you supposed to bleed to clean out your system? Please tell me this is normal and somethings not wrong!!
*thank You*

I bled on and off for 6 weeks. Some days there wasn't really any blood at all. I think you're all right.

I bled so heavily at the hospital right after having my son, that by the time I came home, I barely bled at all. There were days when I'd bleed a bit more than others, but most days I bled so little that I doubt I'd have filled a pad in 24 hours (not sure, cuz I'm kinda anal about that, so I change my pads every few hours if I've been bleeding, even lightly). I would say its pretty normal though. Everybody's bodies are different, so while some might bleed a lot, others might bleed a little and be perfectly healthy.

are you breastfeeding that can make a big difference too. I never once got my period while I was breastfeeding. That was a year and after I had my son I BARELY bleed at all really. Everyone is different though.

Same here... Breastfeeding helps to contract your uterus, so maybe that's why we're aren't bleeding much... happened with my first too.

I just had my son ten days ago and I'm barely bleeding either. I have days where I bleed a little heavier, depends on my activity level. I lost a lot of blood during delivery and then bled pretty heavily that night in the hospital but ever since it's been lighter than my normal period. I'm breastfeeing also, well pumping and giving it to him. (he wont latch   ) I've passed a few small clots but nothing major. I have 11 stitches and so far they seem to be healing well!!
