No you went 9 1/2 months. 44 weeks in 10 months. 40 weeks is the end of the 9th month but you have to complete the entire next 4 weeks before you hit 10 months.

i had my son when i was 41 weeks, and i was about 5 days short of when he was concieved, so i KNOW i wasn't even exactly nine months pregnant yet. ok...when your child is 5 months old lets say, and they are actually starting their 6th of life, do you tell people he's 6 months old? no. they have just STARTED their sixth month, but are still 5 months old until the month is completed. make sense?

yea, if you can decide for yourself than do it, alot of doctors are assholes and need to control every aspect of your pregnancy, I dont want to be induced cuz the first time it was more painful than just having a baby naturally, then I want my daughters b-day to be as close to mine as possible, so hopefully i dont go into labor too early.....I just cant imagine passing the 40 week marker and still waddling around like,"yep, STILL pregnant!" you know?

I'm sorry but not making sense since the end of the ninth month is supposed to be 40 weeks,, if i was 42 weeks that would have been 10 months and a week? We need a doctor up in here, lol!

40 weeks would be a completed 9 months. which means you have completed 9 months of pregnancy. if you go over that, then you would be say...9 1/2 months, not 10 since you haven't completed the month yet. i'm really not trying to be rude. just explaining. lol.

Sorry I don't know how to put it any plainer if you still don't understand. When your child is 6 months old and 1 day, do you tell people your child is 7 months old? When you complete 9 months of pregnancy(40 weeks) and 1 day, your not 10 months pregnant. Your 9 months and 1 day. If by some chance you went to 44 weeks, you would be 10 months pregnant, not 11 months.
