Bratz are not allowed in my home and my daughter will never play with them. Barbies are typically ok as long as it isn't taken too far. I just remember the day that my husband and I were walking into target and saw a little girl who was probably SIX wearing a skirt that showed the bottom of her butt and a tank top shirt that said "cutie" that was tied above her waste. And she definitely wasn't going to some dance recital. Her mom was wearing some tight leopard thing. We wanted to puke. I was pregnant at the time and decided right then and there that my daughter will NOT be dressed like a slut!!

I bought my daughter this barbie for her birthday that has Barbie as a vet! I think dolls like that are a good influence. They also had one that was a teacher and a pediatrician.

On the plus side, a few years ago, Matel came out with "Sign Language Interpreter Barbie" which is just awesome

I will not let my SD play with bratz, but I broke down and bought her the bratz roller skates, because it was the only one Toys R Us had at the time. The skates are just purple and say "bratz" on them, but I still feel like I'm encouraging the doll

y do toy companys want our kids to be sluts.. dont they realise this is what they are making our kids out to be...cant them make them look normal for once even just to look respectable for once.. no onder u see so many kids out ther selling themselves or just sleeping around coz its so called cool this is where they are getting it from.
