I tore a little bit with my son, but only because my doc didnt do an episiotomy. It only took 2 stitches though, and it really wasnt horrible.

i didn't *tear*, but I did have an episiotomy. It took me about 3 weeks to completely heal, but only a week of it was painful. They give you some meds to help out and whatnot.

i tore a little and had about 4 stitches, mr dr didn't do an episiotomy b/c he said you heal easier if you just tear a little instead of a long cut. You'll probably tear a little, but it's not that bad

i didnt tear, i pushed for over n hour and never tore. my dr. i think got worried and gave me an episiotomy. i think she waited so long because she hoped i would tear, but i never did. lylian was posterior though, so it was a lot harder for her to come out. i preferred the episiotomy because 1. it was a nice straight like to sewup, and 2. i got to be sewn back up tighter than i was virgin, so i didnt have to deal with a loose vagina(not saying everyone gets one, but nobody wants one haha)

Most women either tear or end up with an episiotomy. I had a 2nd degree tear that required a few stitches. From what I have heard, you are better off to tear on your own than have an episiotomy. The episiotomy you have a longer recovery time because the Dr. cuts you up to your perenium. I never even felt the tearing and didn't know I had until I was told I was being given Litocain to numb the area that needed to be stitched.

I got an episiodemy and i tore 3rd degree. But my baby was pretty big and her head was huge lol So they had to use three vacuums and then forceps to get my little girl out. But i was up moving around within the first day after, I had her at 3:41am on a monday and went home around 3pm the next day. I was swollen for about a week or so. Scared out of my mind to go poop lol but stool softners fixed that. But anyway im out and about and have been on my feet since Charlotte was born

i didn't tear but i had an episiotomy. i'm not sure exactly how long it took to heal but it wasn't really painful, it actually never bothered me.

I had an episiotomy. but the doctor told me that there was a chance of me ripping.an i didnt even have any pain medicine except for when he was preparing me for the episiotomy and that was only a local anesthetic.but i still felt everything.but it didnt hurt.it depends on your pain tolerence and whether or not u get pain medicine.
