Inducing?

Okay well i have some qiestions about being induced. Why are people induced? Can you choose to be induced early? Can you still have a vaginal birth?

Im just curious...

I was induced after i was 2 days late, and i did have a vaginal birth with no complications.

Yes you can still have a vag birth.

You can with some doctors but many women on here will tell you to let nature take it's course. Other doctors won't consider it until you are two weeks over due.

People are induced due to medical reasons when they think the life outside is better than the one inside for the baby. Many ladies that have multiples are also induce. Or you might be overdue.

Or you might just jave a doctor who likes to plan around his own schedule hehe.

Oh! And I was induced. I labored for 23 hours and had a c-section.

Were you scared, or just ready to have your baby?

I was induced due to medical complications, attempted to have a vaginal birth but had to have a c-section due to slow labor progress, heavy bleeding, and my son's heart beat was unstable.
I don't think most doctors would induce labor, just because the mother is tired of being pregnant. I think they would only suggest induction when there's medical concern.

Thanks. I am just anxious and i will be 38 weeks on tuesday and i just really want to not be pregnant. lol. i know all about nature taking its course but nature and me are having a disagreement. It seems so far yet so close. My due date that is

It never hurts to ask honestly.

My doctor offered it to me and I was like OMG yes!

I was induced two days before my due date.

I was ready to have him, but i was still scared especially since this was my first baby. But my fiance and my friends and family were there and they helped me so much.

O cool. I mean I would only agre if she is ready you know? But it is temtping.

I have 2 appts. next week then one on the following wed.(27th) and when i look at it that way it seems like okay not to bad. but each day just gets longer

I hadmy son on august 6th. I was induced 12 days early. my doctor and I had discussed it early in my pregnancy due to my first son being 8lbs 15oz and he ripped my walls coming out so he wanted to make sure this one didn't get that big. Plus hes one of those doctors who will induce you early if your ready!!

this was my second child and I was in labor 4 about 6.5 hours. Not bad at all!! my first son i was induced the day after my due date and was in labor for 13.5 hours. both i had vaginally.

thats cool. My dr. is really nice. I love her. And im sure if i discuss it with her and the baby is ready we could work something out... Lucky you though!

A few people I know have been induced and the baby ended up having complications. the baby will come when he or she is ready.  
I also just heard on the news that doctors are inducing more these days because when you are induced you are at a much much higher risk for a c-section which means surgery which then means the doctor will get a looooot more money! this happened to 2 girls I know and they are so upset now that they went through with being induced their stomachs have never been the same! and their babies were both born and placed in intinsive care!  
so I would for sure advise against it.
