*update* Not enough sleep?

* I posted this yesterday but wanted to update to see if i could get any more responses I'm not sure if I should contact his pedi about it.  

Ok I know normally most people write and say their baby isn't sleeping through the night, but mine is kind of the opposite. This week my son has not been sleeping during the day at all. He is in bed by midnight every night and wakes up every 3 to 4 hours to eat during the night. He's usually awake by 6 or 7 in the morning and stays up all day. He does get tired I can see his eyes getting droopy but he wont go to sleep and he gets soooo fussy. I can never get him to sleep no matter what I try and I'm just worried he's not getting enough sleep. Has anyone had this problem or know if it's bad that he's not sleeping much?
Forgot to add that he is 6 weeks old.

My daughter started fighting sleep around that time. I kind of had to lay down with her & get her to go to sleep during the day instead of just trying to put her down.

means he's growing. He's fine! They go through spurts like that. My daughter used to sleep all day and all night...they tired of the BIG BIG world.
Enjoy it. Sleep when he sleeps and don't overwork yourself. Enjoy the time when he is this little. It certainly won't last.

I have tried to lay with him, lay him on my chest, rock him, pat him, put him in the swing, bouncer... nothing seems to help. I just feel bad when he looks so exhausted but he's cranky and wont sleep.

Problem is though he isn't sleeping. He's awake all day long and waking every 3 hours at night when he finally does go to sleep around midnight. He's already seems to be growing so fast too it's sad

Does he have his days and nights mixed up. I was able to get my daughter more on a nightly schedule by taking long walks at night in her stroller. I would talk about how all the creatures sleep at night..
