Need A Little Information(Wasn't Sure Where To Post)

posted 14th Aug
Okay
So I'm 17 years old and expecting my first child.
Right now my parents have hit a snag in their marriage which i feel I'm totally at fault but thats neither here nor there.
Anyways.....
I've kinda had to do this all by myself without any guidance or anything...
And I'm due in November and I'm really starting to get stressed out but I have almost no idea about what to do for insurance for the baby. I don't know where to begin. So i need some advice really bad. And i hate it cause i should have taken care of it from the beginning but its been hard and now i feel like a crappy mom because of it.

Any Advice?

Here in MA they have MassHealth, which is basically my states Medicare/medicaid whatever its called...Try to find out if your state has a program like that, which i'm pretty sure they should.

If you can't find anything on your own, next time you go see your OB, ask them how you can get free/low cost health insurance and they will definately know how.

It didn't take long AT ALL for me to get enrolled in my MassHealth.
Once you have some guidance about where to go and what do to, the Human Resources representatives should be able to help you if you have confusion about filling out forms and stuff...You will most likely need a copy of your birth cert AND license, some pay stubs if you work, and......i think that was all I needed to send in.

But good luck, I dunno if this made any sense lol

all states have a Medicaid program because it is a federal program nationwide but each state has it under differen plans.
