teething at two monts?!

posted 14th Aug
So, my daughter will be two months old in about a week, and I believe she might be teething. She has all the signs, fussiness, drooling, iritable, not sleeping well, biting her pacifier. But I also think it's a bit too early and was wondering if any of you moms have experienced teething this early?

Nope, I took Teddy to see his pedi when he was 7 weeks, cos he was being super fussy. & she confirmed he was teething.

They can start teething early and it may take a few months for the little tooth or teeth to pop out my friend's daughter did this. My older sister though basically came out with two teeth. She got them right away lets just say my mom didn't breastfeed for very long because she had teeth so early and couldn't understand not to bite mommy. Its possible, not very common but it happens.

Babies can be BORN with teeth!!! It's quite possible your baby is teething. It'll be the lower two front teeth most likely so rubbing cold on there might help or some teething gel.

ditto.
My son started teething @ 2 months and just got his first tooth a week ago. He is now 2 days from being 7 months old and his 2nd tooth just popped in this morning.
Good luck mamma! You may have a loooong way to go!

Thanks guys. I thought I might be imagining things, and I didn't get teeth till I was nearly 2 years old. I can definitely feel something on the bottom, but I've never been around a baby to start teething this early. It's just crazy. lol

Ella started all of those signs whenever she was about 2 1/2 months too. The pedi said that she was teething but it could take up to several months for a tooth to actually break through. Today actually, she finally got her first tooth! She has been miserable to deal with! The poor little thing!

But also, my cousin's baby is just now 2 1/2 months old and she has TWO teeth already!!

Cora cut her first 2 teeth at 3 1/2 months old. It's more than possible that she's teething!

My kid is a little over 3 months and cut his first tooth last week. He has been showing signs of teething since he was 2 months old.

Same with my little boy. Started teething at 2 months and had his two bottom teeth by 4 months. Poor little things, it is even worse when they are too little to hold anything in their poor little mouths!

I was just going to ask this same question.. My daughter just turned two months and the past couple of days she has been fussy, drooling like crazy, and has taken to chewing on my nipples   She has also been wanting to eat like every hour or 2when she normally goes 3-4 hrs between feedings. At first I just assumed it was a growth spurt, but can frequent eating be a sign of teething?

It could be a growth spurt, but the frequent eating thing is most likly not because she is hungry, but because the bottle (AKA sucking) feels good on their mouth.

Yea that's what I was thinking, but she's breastfed not bottle fed. And she normally loves her pacifier but lately not so much..
