When did you stop exercising?

posted 14th Aug
I have been pretty good at getting into the gym since after the first few nausiating weeks...usually about 5x a week. I'm finding it more and more difficult, but I'm not ready to give up yet. I was just curious though, when during your pregnancy did you stop exercising? Or do you have any opinions or input on the subject?

If you are healthy and feeling good, (and dr says OK) you don't necessarily have to stop... there are lots of women that workout up until they go into labor..

not sure what type of exercise you do, but ever since i read Mara's birth story and how she went into labor 3 weeks early because she was running so much, i tend to stay away from exercise that involves impact. (i'm in my 3rd trimester and SWIMMING seems to be perfect! prenatal yoga is also great.)

If you aren't having any pregnancy issues and your Dr says OK, I hear that they actually want you to keep walking at least up until you deliver. That it can help get labor going and make your delivery easier.

If you are getting tired, listen to your body but walk when you can w/Dr.'s ok.

I'm doing 30 min of cardio (either a brisk morning walk, or the eliptical at the gym) and when I do go into the gym for cardio I do light weights as well. I think the heat is making me a little more tired than usual....

yeah, i suggest stay out of the heat unless you're swimming.
