He's sweet - kids can be harsh even at 5 ... its awful.

I got ignored as did my daughter - we both have red curly hair .
I don't know if its the hair or what but it is no fun .

I'm sure in a few days he'll have a new best pal and everything will be okay .

If you are really concerned speak to his teacher - she shouldn't let it happen .

I think he's a handsome young man.

Kids are cruel though, but it's just the beginning, give it some time.

i think school is alway hard for first time goers jus give it some time and he will make friends. takes some time for some kids to come out of their shells. hes a beautiful lookin boy.

Aww, he's a cutie! My husband comes from a family of redheads (even tho he is not one) and it's weird because it seems like redheaded girls are looked at as unique and beautiful, but it's like the opposite for the boys. Kids can be so mean sometimes. I don't know that there's much you can do except be loving and supportive to him. Maybe get him involved in extra curriculars like cub scouts or something like that??

Ohh Momma, I like him if that helps, my son has a touch of red hair but he's only 8 months old. Is he shy maybe you can talk him into approaching other kids instead of waiting for someone to come to him. Or find another parent in his class and introduce yourself and your son to their child. But he sure is a cutie and I'm sure it'll all work out. Good luck.

What a cutie ... My son started kindergarden on Tuesday & none of the kids talked to him either . (They have also have to sit in the luchroom and wait for their teacher . ) So yesterday I had him take a book with him to read while he waited and he said all the kids likedhis book& all that was all he talked about when he came home . Maybe you can send him to school with his favorite book 2~ma and see if that helps .

awwe i am crying. that made me so sad. i hate kids  kids used to be mean to me too, and i was clean and woe good clothes. if it wasnt one thing, they would find another one. it's so hard to be a nice good kid

My daughter is red-headed and I get a little worried about it, but I love that she doesn't have the same old brown hair is seems everyone else has (I have some red hair, but not as red as hers)...she's unique  .
