I would say there shouldn't be chunks, but some floaters like backwash stuff or orange juice pulp isn't enough to worry about... your baby has lost it's vernix and langu..... (sp?..the hair) so i wouldn't be at all surprised for it to be floating around in there. happy baby to you!

Are you consistantly wet down there, is your underwear thoroughly soaked? Could you tell specifically it came from your vagina?
There should not be floaters really, if you notice black pieces ot discolored water, go to the hospital, you baby may have passed meconium. Your water should be clear, and relatively odorless. If you smell it, you can tell it from urine.
Lay down somewhere, when you lay down you should leak faster if you water has indeed broken.
When in doubt, go to the hospital. Maybe if you water hasn't broke, they will induce you then because you are already there

Sit on the toilet and cough really hard. If more fluid is forced out, it's probably your water breaking. That's what our instructor told us in childbirth class, and it worked for me. But you should call and ask your doc/midwife regardless. Good luck!

I don't know LOL.......... if you're Leaking smell some of it.... if it smells like pee, it's probably pee, but otehrwise it's probably your water. You can go get it checked... it's just a quick swab.
But why don't you ask them to break your water before they niduce you to see if that'll do anything???? there's more then one way to jump start thing you know
sex works for some poeple, you can drink some raspberry leaf tea ( doesn't always do much) or take a fewe caplets of evening primrose oil ( it helps to soften your cervix)..... a long walk, or a bumpy ride on an ATV..... but they can use different things at the hospital too, like breaking your water or using a gel on your cervix, ..... pitoicin isn't teh only option so discuss whatelse you can do with your dr if that wasn't your water breaking.
if it was...... go for a walk... it may be uncomfy but it'll help get those contractions going which is what you want right now.
