Contractions questions.

I know you ladies answer these all the time, so I'm sorry if you've answered the same questions before.

I've been having irregular contractions all day and at about 9pm (almost 4 hours ago) they started moving closer together & are regular. The thing is they don't hurt much at all. They only hurt when they climax & it's not bad at all. Also, I don't feel them in my lower abdomen like people keep telling me I will, I feel them in my upper uterus area & in my back a little.

Am I having real contractions or is it possible to just have regular BH's?

I'm going to try and time them but I'm having a tough time with it because I don't even notice I'm having one until it's at the climax & hurts.

I'm with you... I didn't even know I was having any contractions until they put me on that NST thing and they were like, you are having regular contractions about 30 secs long 2-3 minutes apart. I was like: holy crap, am I going to give birth soon? I'm still here. I have another appt tomorrow. I don't know if they'll put me on that NST again. Because I seriously cannot feel the contractions.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I just don't want to waste the trip to L&D because my hospital is 14 miles away. I think I'm just going to wait it out and see if they get any stronger (they feel like they are but idk).

Sounds like back labour and it is possible to feel them in the top as opposed to the bottom, how regular are they?

I'm wondering something similar ... I've been having painful contractions through my back since yesterday morning off and on, but ever since last night they've been ON. I've taken two hot baths tonight and literally have not slept for more than a short amount of time- I haven't timed it but it's like as soon as I get comfortable or start to fall asleep there's another one, and it hurts so bad I have to rush into the bathroom and sit on the toilet. I lost my plug with bloody show at 10 last night, and have been having a ton of mucusy brownish-tinged discharge ever since. But I'm feeling the contractions (really badly) in my BACK ... urrrgh. I finally took another tub and just got out so I'm going to start timing them ... either way in the morning I want to go to L&D to see what's going on, this hurts like a bitch! Lol ... I don't think this could be false labor!

Unfortunately my contractions stopped so I'm thinking this was false labor. They literally went on for about 4 hours at anywhere from 6-9 minutes apart. I'm not sure how accurate my timing them was because sometimes I didn't realize I was having them until the end.

Now I'm all restless & can't sleep.

I had false labor monday night and alll sunday morning, it was horrible! lol
But my doc said i was having real contractions, they just weren't strong enough to start anything....I posted a topic on this forum yesterday about the full moon saturday and got a few responses to maybe this weekend for all of us!
