It's pronounced EXavier. I had a really good friend in high school named Xavier and his nickname was Zay, so when Xavier was born I automatically started calling him Zay/Zay-Zay!Alot of peoplethink it's pronounced ZAYvier because of that. The one I hear the most is Ha-vee-air, but that's because I live in a primarily hispanic community.
