LG Voyager question. Help me!

I can not send pictures to other carriers or text messages with 160+ characters without receiving this message. "Messages sent to non-VZW customers with graphics/ones/formatting and/or 160+ characters are sent as plain text with only the first 160 characters" I have NO idea what this means. I've sent ring tones to my mom who has cricket, I have also sent pictures to my friend with at&t..but today I could not send a text with more than 160 characters to Branden without getting the above message sent back to me. If anyone has any idea what to do or what that means, I'll greatly appreciate your input! Thanks!

If they dont have Verizon, they cant receive a message with more than 160 characters. (letters, punctuation, spaces, etc.)

That has to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. lol. My stepdad has verizon and he sends pics and long texts to everyone all the time (that don't have verizon)

yep, I love Verizon and that is the one thing that I hate... sometimes it wont even let me send texts over 160 to Verizon people!

my friend has verizon and I get her texts that are more than 160 characters I just get it in seperate messages since I have tmobile

Its freaking retarded, its really a pain in the ass if youre telling something alooong storyto someone without Verizon. LOL. About pictures, I think you can still send to anyone and they receive it.

yeah and like I sent my mom pictures of Zak and ringtones and she has cricket. The kid I'm dating also has cricket but NEVER gets any pics I send him, but recieved a video of Zak?

Its neverdone that with me & other Verizon users.   I hate forgetting about the limit though & then getting that gay message, ticks me off.

Yeah the 160+ characters doesn't get to me as much as my delayed text messages and lack of sending pic messages!

do this for ppl who dont have verizon

instead of new text message, do new picture message. it gives you 1000 characters. when they recieve it sends as a pic message, but just the text

Mostly everyone I know have Verizon though.   Theres just that one friend that has Sprint or something & it takes forever to get my texts.  

I thought it only sent that message when you were sending like graphics that were already in the phone or smilies or something cause not everyones phone can see them.

Mine's with all pictures..but I swear it's only the company Cricket. It's SO annoying. I'm going to call them tomorrow..delayed text messaging is about number 3 on my things I SERIOUSLY hate list.
