The Conflict In Georgia.

What do you ladies think about this? Is Russia right to invade Georgia? Why do you think they did? Do you believe the UN should be involved and should encourage Russia to stop (even though they have supposedly madea cease-fire). What are your thoughts on this matter?

I think Russia was looking for an excuse to cross the border and kick the shit out of them, what does everyone else think?

ROFL no its the place over right near russia, just cracks me up cause i asked the same thing to my husband and he looked at me like i was retarded, i'm just glad i wasnt the only one who thought that  

in that case. Other countries should have to deal with their problems. So what ever they see fit, then so be it. Not sure what happened though.

yea i'm not for getting involved at all, plus i dont even think we know all the facts as to what exactly happened over there, its there own dispute plus they're both alies, and adults, so i say let them handle it all

I honestly don't know what their motives are but it's probably just over land...

i've heard land, Georgia attacked first, power, oil....so i dont really put in too much words on this matter, and i think we def need to stay out....we dont need to make this something bigger than wat it already is

My main point in trying to discuss this is,

Gerogia has barely a third of the resources Russia has, as far as military. Georgia has fought in the Iraq conflict along side Americans, Britains, etc. I feel as though they deserve some kind of effort on their part, if it comes to that. As of right now, lots of allied countries have sent humanitarian aid.

I'd like to know whose side we're on because I've heard many different things but I'd be shocked if we sided with Georgia, given that Russia is thight with China.

I think the best course of action would be to make sure nothing more happened. I'll be upset if Antonio goes too haha.

Basically what this is about, Russia and Georgia used to be a part of the USSR. Well, after that split up Georgia became its own democratic nation. Relations have been strained recently, and over the passed week, Russia sent a dud bomb into Georgia, causing their miltary to go on alert. When Georgia's troops geared up, Russia's military attacked and began to bomb Georgia.
