I don't know my dates, but I am pretty sure after the ussr disbanded, about 10-12 years ago it became its own country, but I'm not 100% sure.

Is Russia right to invade Georgia? No. They started it and are trying to play innocent.

Why do you think they did? Why they sent the dud? To look like it wasn't their fault they had to amass military and invade. Why they wanted to invade? Control issues.

Do you believe the UN should be involved and should encourage Russia to stop (even though they have supposedly madea cease-fire). If the cease-fire is breeched then yes.

I think the UN needs to deal with it not America. We have our own problems and don't need to be all over the world helping other people when we clearly can't even manage ourselves. JMO

Last I heard the US was on Georgias side.
The last thing we need right now is to go to war with Russia. I think it's great that the US wants ot help, but we have enough on our plate right now. The military is stretched thin as it is. A war with Russia would really put a strain on the branches.
