6lbs 2oz 19 inches long.
About 12:30 that day, my water broke. It was funny because my husband and i were about to... ya know... "do it". I was turning over and like scooting down on thw bed when I felt this huge gush of water. I ran and told my mom then took a shower (dangerous, I know. Looking back I probably shouldnt have) then we headed to the hospital.
When we got there, they checked to make sure my water had broken (it most definitely had!!) and the nurse checked to see how dialated i was. I was about a 3 still. This was about 2.
They admitted me and set me up with the monitors and everything. I wasntreally feeling any contractions and according to the monitor, i was only having tiny ones every so often.So when the doctor checked me (at about 5) i was only at about a 3 1/2 sohe ordered pitocin.
Man did i feel the contractions after that! They were coming so hard and so fast. I seriously felt lik i was going to die! (wimp, i know) At about 7 i was about a 4 1/2 so at about 7:30 they gave me the epidural. It was the most amazing thing ever! I was in HEAVEN!!! And the anesthesiologist was the nicest guy ever so it made it even better!My nurse told me to tell herwhen i felt pressuredown there.They said I would probably have herbetween midnightand 2 am.
So about 9, my in-laws left to go eat and stuff and my sister went somewhere. My mom and my husband went to smoke a cigarette.Everyone figured we had plenty of time.At about 9:40, I started to feel some pressure so i told my nurse. I was fully dialated and ready topush!!!I called my mom (who was still downstairs) and told her that she and my husband needed to get up there NOW! She just caught my husband,who was going to the store to get some drinks... and thank god she did! Annnnd the doctor wasnt even at the hospital!So my nursecalled the doc and we started pushing.He finally got there halfway throughmy pushing and my little Addy was born at 10:20 pm!!!
She is the most beautiful thing ihave ever seen and it was even more beautiful to see her big bad marine daddy cry when she got here. I am so so in love with her!
