Can you color your hair when you're preggo??

So.. I have been thinking about this for a long time now.. I know you can like highlight your hair when you're pregnant.. but can you color your hair?

I don't mean all the time.. I just mean like once or twice if you are in a well ventalated room and stuff?? Is it really gonna hurt the baby if you do it once??

Anyway.. please let me know what you think.. or if your doctor has told you something about it.. Or are a hair stylist and know something about it!! Thanks!!

Yes, you can.
Do it outside, or something.

It won't hurt the baby at all.
Wait until after the 1st trimester.

i would imagaine if you did it outside it wouldnt do nothing if its just the once..but you really shouldnt breath it in..

Its fine but your hair might come out splotchy. Hormones and stuff effect the way the chemicals are going to react in your hair..

remember that anything that you put on your head or smell is absorbed into your blood system thus at some point reaching the baby!!!! a lot of doc recommend that you dont dye or your hair through pregnancy as well as do your nails!!! i dont know what kind of proof they have for all of this but i would just stick with not doing it and not havign to worry about weather its going to affect my baby!!!

I think it's okay as far as baby is concerned, however there can be side effects due to hormone issues~ my OBs office said sometimes the color won't come out right & some women even get burns on their scalp from the chemicals. I just avoided it the whole pregnancy.

i dont dye my hair..so i havnt during my pregnancy but i heard its not good..but my friend got her nails done while she was prego..i used to but not since ive been prego just in case.

well.. i did it once already.. and now my hair looks like crap.. and i kinda wanna make my hair look nice for my baby shower next month!! haha. (i'm a tard like that!!) so i didn't wanna do it again if i was hurting my baby!!

My gramma colors my hair for me.. so i make sure i'm not like sniffing the fumes or anything...

oh just to claify.. my hair doesn't look like crap because i colored it.. but because its been forever since i've done it!!

Yes you can but you just have to wait until you are at least in your 4th month. I did that and my baby is healthy as can be! Do make sure it is in a very ventilated area, the best thing would be to do it outside.
