Well, none of the above apply for me... the dr. just did it, she was supposedly checking my cervix for dilation and I started hurting really bad, that's when she told me what she was doing.

I went to my 38th wk visit today, and finally asked him about stipping membranes.....He told me that he doesnt really do it because he doesnt believe that it brings on labor and he said that there is a higher risk of infection if done.....)=

Bummer. My doctor just does it when you're at least 37 weeksand 3cm...worked for me every time!!
