I realli want to...

posted 13th Aug
wax my vaj jay jay but don't think I could bare the pain atm as it's so sore already, but I realli want all my nasty hair gone for labor! And also, I've been moisturising stuff on it to help soothe the pain and prepare it for it's 'big opening!' and that would be easier without the dang full head it has atm! I've barely seen it in three months so haven't been able to attend to it. What should I do? My husband said he'd shave it but I think I'd be too scared he'd cut me. My friend told me to use my husband 'buzz' shaver. She used her husbands and said it'd never been so smooth!

Waxing isn't that bad, i got waxed while i was pregnant because i couldn't see what i was doing. Or you could use a mirror to help you see to ahave.

Also, it's spelled "really"

yeah me too! especially since I've let it go this long I think I'd be too mortified to go for a wax they'd have to get out the shears!

I read in the "what to expect when you're expecting" that shaving down there before going into labor could possibly give you a higher chance for infection because of the nicks in the skin holding in bacteria.

omg i cannot stress this more. please dont wax it. it will hurt like hell like being stabbed a million times, not to mention with how you will tense up you might throw yourself into labor!!! and you would have to lay on your back which is def not comfy for you!!!!

just do the ol feel with your hand shave thing, and get the gist of it. it helps if you put your leg up on the shower wall or something...its not going to be perfect but its alot less painful that waxing!! oh yea, and dont let him do it eaither cuz he will try and be careful and then do it to lightly and SNAGGGGGG! no fun!

I'd go to town with clippers and then use a razor to clean up whatever stubble is left over if you're going for the high speed, low drag bald clam.

nair?

i tried to wax once before i got pregnant. i couldn't do more than a strip. i told her no more and i walked around with a bald spot on my vj before i thought of nair.

it works pretty well just make sure you don't get it on your sensitive parts because it burns like crazy

I find nair and those products so bad! I used it on my legs a week ago and left it on for as long as your allowed and I still had to shave after. Maybe those products work better with fair haired chix. Wish they did though-if a cream ridded me of my hair I'd be a happy bunny!

I've also heard that you shouldn't use nair while pregnant just in case the chemicals soak into the skin. I don't know how valid that info is though.

In the book it talked about the old standard practice of shaving before labor, but they stopped doing it a while back because the pubic hear isn't the breeding ground of germs like they once thought.

Now, in surgeries in other areas of the bodies, they shave areas that they need to see to make the incision.

I don't know if they shave you for a c section...I have never had one.
